I found this website that allows users to share their piano scoresheets! You just need to create an account and pronto! Search for the piano files you wanted and email the owners.. most of them are really nice.. they’ll just send their files to you free! So far, I’ve gotten scoresheets for The Piano, The Hours, Kelly Clarkson’s Breakaway album, Ryuichi Sakamoto’s scores… and even some Naruto’s sad slow songs! :D Totally loving it~~~

Recently there’s a lot of cases of blackout in uni.. the count has reached 3 times.. and it’s still Sunday morning! Oh gawd, please don’t spoil my comp okay? Should anything happen to my computer, I’m dead. Literally.

Before leaving for pasar malam, I knew that I didn’t bring my matric card… but then again, I didn’t think it matters, since the past few times, there has been no checks although I brought the card with me.

Huh. Fat hope.

When I drove into the UTP compound… and there the damned pak guards hovering on each cars.. and ACTUALLY doing their job! OMG. Damn shit. Hexi quickly passed me her card and I showed it to the pak guard. Unfortunately, the guard on Hexi’s side asked her to wind down her windows to check more thoroughly on her “international student card”.. and while she’s “winding” down the window, I quickly passed her HER matric card and she showed it. Satisfied, the pak guard let us drive pass.

I immediately said “OMIGOD” loudly! The timing of passing her the card was so perfect that the pak guards did not notice anything!!! I am just so thankfull that I did not cause Hexi extra trouble… huhuhu…

Song of the day – The Veronicas – Everything I’m Not

This semester is the least time that I’ve been to Ipoh. So when Tim came to UTP on last week and wanted to hangout in Ipoh, I agreed almost immediately. Haha. Desperado siut.

Anyways, I msged him when I was leaving UTP, saying I’ll be reaching around 11. The journey to Ipoh was uneventful. Few bumps here and there, nothing much.

Tim said to go straight to Casuarina and had given me a room number to go to. So I went and I found him and the other guy, Chia Ming half asleep. Totally obscene, seeing two guys in their half-messed up hair and clothes everywhere, and do i detect a hint of cologne somewhere?

Kidding la. Tim will kill me if I say this is true. ^_^

Well, Tim was already awake when I reached there and no surprise, my sms before leaving campus was his wake-up alarm. Hahah.. Tim was not feeling well.. nono, I should say, he is very sick cuz he’s popping pills as if it is sweets and drinking cough syrup as if it’s coke …into his body.. So we went to Jusco to have lunch. Had Secret Recipe’s set lunch.. heh. The reason I ordered the set lunch is to have the walnut brownies.. SR’s walnut brownies is the BEST brownies I’ve ever had.. dripping wet with hot chocolate, the brownie looked absolutely delish! Despite our warning and concern about Tim’s health, he stilllll ordered his fav Lamb Stew. Aih. I guess cravings beats everything else. Like how I crave for the brownies as well. Heh.

When we left SR, all our stomach is bursting. I think I can feel the food in my trachea, seriously! Next time remind me to control with my cravings so I won’t go near SR. Perhaps sushi next time, si?

Then we walked around, and I bought a new earphone! I have been wanting to get a new earphone since I “exchanged” my earphones wif Audrey’s headphones and I forgot to change it back when I left Intel. In search for a new earphone, I found this Sony earphones that comes with a neck chain! Since Jusco does not have a variety of earphones, I guess I got lucky that I found something I liked. Kinda reminds me of my Creative earphones, except the material is not as rubberish as the Sony ones.

Tim was feeling very sleepy, so we went to sit down in the food court. Unfortunately it is a Saturday, and everywhere else is so packed and hot! The Ipoh Town Council should perhaps start considering having a NEW shopping mall, something as cool as Gurney Plaza or Queensbay Mall. Ha.. here I go again, Penang this and that…

And so when it’s time for us to enter the cinema, Tim said “WAH, the popcorn smells sooooo nice!” Heh. Actually i was kinda tempted to buy, but on the other hand, I don’t want to “tempt” Tim cuz he can’t actually eat it, or as according to his health consultant of the day, Chia Ming. Hahah..

Sunshine was surprisingly a good movie, despite the lame name and unknown actors (except Michelle Yeoh). A short recap on the movie: The movie projects the future of mankind from a physics-based atheistic perspective. The whole idea abt the movie is if Sun dies, what would actually happen? Extinction of mankind? So who saves mankind? Will they survive?

OR in simple words, it’s a mixture of Armageddon + Alien + Deep Impact. As I told my sister, the cool part of the movie is that they managed to save the planet. The cooler part is that everyone dies in the movie. I know, I sound cynical but this type of movie, everyone must die onli shiok la. ^_^ The OST for the movie is excellent, made me teared at several scenes, particularly the ending when the main character’s sister played his last video sent back to Earth.

And then straight after that, we went to catch another movie, Wild Hogs. U know, from such a “wow” movie to a supposedly humourous movie, I felt that WH is not that funny. A little slapstick at times. However, I guess it is just me thinking that way, because some idiots were laughing their heads off at MOST of the scenes, some funny, some not. It is irritating when you have to endure 1 and a half hrs of “WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA” and sometimes I’m laughing not because it’s funny, but because of the silly “WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”.

Chia Ming lead the way to Medan Gopeng after the movies. As for me, I finally found the way to Medan Gopeng after studying here for 4-fricking-years! And to my surprise, it is actually VERY near Jusco! Ha.. well, at least now i know. :)

This post is dedicated to Tim.. I’m so glad he came to UTP since it’s been a LOOOOOOONG time since we last met. I jsut wished he could stay longer, cuz he have to leave on Sat night itself. :( Poor him, he came to UTP in less than 3 days and then have to go back to work on Sunday. Dang Petronas. But I must say I enjoyed his company as much as the outing on Saturday.. We’ll do it again next time okies? ^_^

Current track: My Chemical Romance – I Don’t Love You

It was one of the days when you suddenly feel like doing something, and something out of the box happened.

I was studying for my Ecommerce test when I suddenly felt like reading The Star Online. And that’s when I saw the headlines… Massacre at Virgin Tech. I was shocked beyond words and inside of me, tears started building on the tip of my eyes. In my heart, I keep repeating, “omg, omg, omg”.

I dunno why this incident affects me so much. Suddenly I imagine the whole horror scene happens in Malaysia. And I started to tear again.

Testimonials from the students at V.T. was so surreal yet true and that’s when the pang of sorrowness hit me again.

“The gunman first shot the professor in the head and then fired on the students, Perkins said. The gunman was about 19 years old and had a “very serious but very calm look on his face,” he said. “

“Calhoun said that the two students behind him were shot, but that he believed they survived. Just before he climbed out the window, Calhoun said, he turned to look at the professor, who had stayed behind, perhaps to block the door. The instructor was killed, he said.”

How can this be happening?

you'll be missed

Something peculiar happened in my hse last Sat, the day before Easter.

my hse

catfish

Oohh yeah. It’s a cat fish.

But no, it’s not dead when I took the photo. It just happened to hop out of the basin. My hsemate, a Viet girl came knocking on my door.

“Hello, ur fish jumped out.”
“Wat?! What fish!” WTF!
“Ur fish in the kitchen?”
“Arh?! Fish?!”

So we went to check.. the fish was struggling so much.. I wanted to grab the fish and put it back to the basin but didn’t dare. Weih. Catfish got stings in their mouth, u know. Plus the fish was struggling so much, even my other hsemates don’t dare to go near the fish.

Anyways, the next day the fish did die, and also did ended up in the tong sampah. Oh well. The cruel cycle of life.

I hate ABAP lab sessions.

The new tutor truly does NOTHING in lab.

These are the only words he said in class.

Start of lab session.
“You all download the notes from the elearning and do according to the instructions.”
“Please sign the attendance.”

End of lab session.
“Who have not sign your attendance? Ok, good bye.”

OMG. Am I never gonna learn anything from him?

No no.. No one broke my heart or vice versa… Just that recently I’m very into jiwang-fied songs.. probably inspired by Shijun’s post of Savage Garden.. (wei, i even went to download that Truly, Madly, Deeply song to listen again!)..

Anyways, my point is.. i’ve started listening to slower, sadder (perhaps) songs.. and a lot of it is actually chinese songs.. haha… some like Gigi Leung’s rendition for the movie Turn Left, Turn Right.. and newcomer Li Sheng Jie’s Chi Xin Jue Dui and Fish Leong’s Fly Away…

Not just that, Daarsh intro me to a new song called One Moment More by Mindy Smith (very nice!) and I’ve found some slow songs like Damien Rice’s 9 Crime, John Lennon’s Imagine (thanks to tkit) and The Perisher’s Heart. And also I gotta admit that I began to like the song “Sway” from The Perisher, a song that Leesh once said very nice but I didn’t think so… Haha…

Very jiwang hor?

I feel listening to jiwang-fied songs makes me calmer. With the hectic schedule, my sleeping time is so messed up that I could only have 4 hrs sleep at one particular night and then 9 hrs the next one. The consequences? My eyes were swollen for 2 days plus I need coffee to stay awake now. Aigoooo.

How about u guys? What do you prefer?

For most Chinese, last weekend was a pretty busy weekend… Market filled with peeps buying chickens, ducks, pork/siew yuk, flowers, veges, yada yada…

Yeah, it was Qing Ming celebration last weekend.

My aunt and uncle picked me up from UTP on Fri and we headed up to Penang. With my aunt buying most of the praying stuff, we just need to get fresh chicken, meat and flowers on Saturday itself. This means waking up extra early on Sat and Sun (2 graves to go… and hence..) and Chek Hup to start the day off.

Perhaps you’ve seen The Star’s article about the paper stuff that peeps buy for Qing Ming to burn for their ancestors. It’s very interesting to note that nowadays the dead can enjoy a big mansion with swimming pool complete with security guards, maids and what not. They can also buy a huge limo, with whatever brand that you can think of. My uncle had to go and find a “blender”, because his late mum appeared in his sister’s dream, saying that she could not cook without a blender. Hmm.

Nevertheless my family did the same thing for my late grandfather. I bought him a “N70″ phone and a “Creative MP4″ player (Actually I wonder if he actually know how to use that phone). Hahah… Sammy bought him a Rolls Royce limo with a driver and one of my aunt bought him a karaoke set, with microphones, dvd songs AND a PLASMA TV. OMG. Plus we can even write the name of the songs that my late grandfather loved… Interesting isn’t it?

So on Saturday morning, I went to the market with my aunties and we bought all the fresh poultry needed and flowers. Then we headed down to Taiping for the prayers. Thank goodness for my uncle who requested that tables, chairs and tents to be set up in my late grandfather’s grave otherwise I’ll turn a shade darker. We had a “picnic” after that and we headed back home.

There’s basically nothing reli interesting in celebrating Qing Ming in my late grandfather’s grave cuz we don’t have to clean it, nor do we have to endure the hot sun.

Not that I’m complaining anyways.

Then on Sunday I went to my great-grandmother’s grave in Brapit. This is the real EYE-OPENER. U know why? Cuz you need to climb up a small mountain to reach the grave AND you need to step on other people’s grave in order to reach her grave.

HUHUHU.

My great-grandmother was buried 54 years ago. At that time, there are no organization of how the graves should be arranged. So if there is some space to squeeze in between the graveyard, den the people will bury the body. Luckily my great-grandmother’s grave is not high up the mountain. :) I was surprised to see SO many people cleaning and burning papers because in Taiping, there’s like only 1 or 2 families that came to the graveyard (near my grandfather’s) to do prayers.

My uncle told me that they initially wanted to shift my great-grandmother’s grave to my grandfather’s site but 50+ years is a VERY long period and the wood and bones might have been biodegraded already. @_@ So they decided to let it be where it is now. I felt a pang of sadness that we only visit the grave once a year and the graveyard is not in good condition.

Nevertheless it was a good experience coming for Qing Ming celebration. It feels really good to be with your family again, doing prayers and at the same time having fun as well. I wouldn’t mind going for Qing Ming again next year, if I’m free at that time. :)
