Sucky day + New shirt!

Ipoh trip yesterday was sucky. When we reach Ipoh, I did reverse parking to park my car but I accidentally “touched” the BMW behind me. The BM looks perfectly fine but my car had some scratches. Haihhh.

Ok, sucky part number one is over.

Then when we went to the sari shop, Kul’s sari wasn’t ready so she had to wait for the tailor to mend it. But it took so long that we decided to come back to pick it up.

Sucky part three now.

Then while driving to Jusco, suddenly there’s this guy driving next to me pointed to my tyre, while mouthing some unintelligible words. Frank and Kul assumed he’s saying my tyre is flat or something, so I headed straight to a petrol station. OMG. My tyre is flat and cracked. Air is practically oozing out from crack! After being directed to a tyre shop, we headed there immediately. Apparently my tyre is too thin and it’s beyond repair.

HAIH!

I called Dad (brushed Mum off in the process ). The mechanic advised him to change the tyres.. which I know is gonna cost me a BOMB. So Dad negotiated wif the boss. All I heard was this:-

“Usually ppl change 2 tyres”

“2 tyres I’ll give u RM140 each”

“If 4 tyres will be cheaper”

FOUR tyres! OMG. Does dad think I’m an ATM? Huhuhu. But luckily dad settled for 2 tyres, which I had to pinjam Kul’s money to pay for it.

Half an hour later, everything is settled and so we headed to Jusco. A day which is supposed to be filled with four hours of shopping shopping shopping became one hour plus of shopping for our necessities. And since I was broke, I had to get what I need onli, not what I wanted. The initial plan is to eat Secret Recipe for teatime became a cheap McDonald’s sundae. (

ANYWAYS. So I called sis and told her what happened. Hehe. She said, “kesian u.. ok lah, I’m gonna get u something for a reward”. Hehehe. In a previous post, I said that Jacqui-e have sales now. So she went shopping for a working shirt for me. Hehehehe. I told her I want a white shirt, long sleeve preferably.. hehehe..

And so she bought me one.

Just now she already merasmikan the shirt by wearing it to her WMSO AGM Night. Her reasons was she’s retiring from the Board (she was the secretary) and hafto look her best. AND she got no nice baju to wear. Haih. Ok la, as long as u dont buruk siku the shirt, I’m okay wif u using it. Hehehe.

Conclusion: My tai ka zhe loves me so much so she bought me a Jacqui-e shirt. (Ampu bodek ) Hehehe.

Indulgence in Cooking… (previous post!)

This was what I wrote last time… dated September 18, 2006. Hehe. Thought it is nice to share a recipe with everyone.

Dong Pou has always been a major hangout place for me, Sammy, Esther and occasionally Mei Ling.. We go there almost twice a week.. according to Sammy, they sell the authentic dim sum, unlike some commercialised dim sum shop.. eat here feel more “OOMPH” than the rest.. haha.. dunno ar.. but Dong Pou is smaller and not so noisy.. hence it’s a good place to talk. And dim sum here is so cheap. Oh well.

For me, if I dun eat my woo kok (read the encyclopedia to know what it is) and egg tarts, then it doesn’t feel like i’m eating dim sum.. Maybe i repeated this a tad too frequent that Sammy actually made woo kok for me. Wahhhh…

I woke up late yday tho we had plans to make woo kok. Sammy took out the “family secret” recipe.. hahaha.. we went to the wet market to buy all we need… only at around 1 plus we started making our woo kok…

The ingredients needed are:

- 640g glutinous rice flour

- 120g prawn (cut into dices)

- 300g pork/chicken marinated with char siew sauce(cut into dices)

- 7 or 8 pieces of big mushroom (cut into dices and marinated wif garlic oil)

- 1 egg yolk

- 1 clove of garlic

- 100g cooking oil

- 3 teaspoon of sugar

- 1 teaspoon of soda bicarbonate

- 1 bowl of mixed peas-corn-carrot

- 5 tablespoon of soya sauce

Fry the garlic till golden brown. Then add mushroom. Fry until the mushroom is browner and then add the prawn in.

Add the pork/chicken in. Throw the mixed vege in too.. Add in the soya sauce too. Add to your liking.. some people may like it sweet and some salty.. i like it just nice

It’s cooked!!

Now we make the outer layer.. cut the yam and steam it.. When it’s soft, take it out to cool. Then use hot boiling water and pour it on the wheat flour. The amazing part of this flour is it won’t dilute the mixture, it will thicken and stick all of it together. You will see a transparent-ish dough.. Leave it to cool too.. when both are cooled, mix them together and knead them into a dough.

Then you can start making the woo kok. Take some of the dough and roll it into a ball. Flatten it and put some fillings in it.. then shape it into what u see in the pic.. It’s not very easy cuz the dough is VERY VERY soft… Once done, you can fry it. But not for long, cuz both the fiillings and outer layer is already cooked.

Perhaps the most productive weekend in UTP.. yet.

This will be a very short post as I’m very busy now.. Just wanna update a little..

Last weekend, I managed to do a lot of work, and most importantly, I started on FYP. Yea, I know.. FINALLY! Heheh.. Thanks to Bismo for the headstart.. I’ve completed the initial parts.. login.. lost password.. all those lah.. so now will start on the serious part.. which is the FORMS. Mannnn. I hate FYP. Just thinking about it gives me headache. Can I pay someone to do it for me? Progress report due this week, next week is Pre-EDX. So crazy can ki siao now.

Plus Panasonic emailed and asked to come for an aptitude test and C Programming test. C PROG?! That’s like, so ancient mannn! It’s next Tuesday and in Cyberjaya. Should I go or not? Haih. If I go, I will have to skip a lot of classes, not to mention Pre-EDX is next week too.

Last week was one of the rare weekends where you can see my roomie around.. hehe.. And she ajak us for a makan-makan trip in Ipoh.. in this place called Wooley.. I’ve been there with Tim and Clement but I seriously can’t remember the way. It was raining when we reach there… the place is AWESOME! Feels like I’m in Penang cuz there’s SO many variety of food.. That’s not all of it but Frank didn’t take anymore pics.. We had fried egg + oh-chien (fried egg + oyster) and satay ayam. Me and Leesh got tamjiak and ordered an ice kacang for dessert. Our stomach is full to bursting… Kul said she could eat summore, but she didn’t order anymore.

Would love to go there again.
