Happy New Year!

2008 has been a great year for me. Having graduated since Dec 2007, I found a job, though not in dream location but at least it gets me traveling alot..I went to KL alottttt and KK twice this year… putting aside business trip, I travelled to Kuching for Rainforest Fest and also NZ again!

And I made so many great friends from work, PIPE and SKG .. so much that I felt so blessed and lucky cuz these are the friends for life! Lastly I had an awesome Christmas in Singapore and also Leesh’s bday party at Zouk, which officially closes my 2008 with a bang!

I hope you guys had a great 2008 like I did. Cheers to the coming year! Happy New Year guys!!

Happy 23rd Birthday~

Aih. Old liao. Yes, I’ve turned 23 on last Monday.

Haha.. whatever Well. Just had dinner with FY and UA on 19th.. din reli do much after checking in Equatorial. Received manyyy smses and messages on FB and Fster~! Felt really touched by the amount of people who wished me!

And u know what’s even suprising?? Even the HOTEL knows its my bday! They sent me a choc cheese cake up to my room with candles and matches! Well the ONLY sucky part is that…. they thought I was a GUY! When I checked in, the process took sooooo long.. and I questioned them.. guess wht, they told me they thought I was a guy, so they’ve assigned me to a GUY roomie.. hehe.. wouldn’t hurt if the guy’s hot but oh well, what are my chances of getting a cute hot roomie rite….. So I got a new room all to myself! Hehe.. I guess that’s why they wrote “Mr Lim, Happy Birthday” on my cake. But still, it’s lovely~

Looks yummy isn’t it? I shared it with my training friends.. it was a small group of 15 people.. and in the 5 days, we’ve became close friends… We enjoyed the food tremendously, taking our sweet time eating, sometimes forgetting that we have classes to attend! Haha.. WELL, one of us sed, “We’re like anak orang kaya, coming here to enjoy ourselves with food, gym and sauna on a paid trip!” Hehe.

Yes i know this post came a little too late… now or never isn’t it?

I love my graduation. It was the bestest week i’ve ever had in the whole year! Everything seems to pass by soooo fast and i didn’t even have the time to visit the convo grounds! *sigh* One consolation is that i heard the convo fair was like past years, so i guess i didn’t miss anything.

Had a fantabulous Convo dinner on Saturday nite. Wore my sister’s strapless black dress.. i thought the organisers might have a say or two about my dress, being strapless and all.. but oh well i brought back up! hehe.. hidden in my small little blue bag is a little black bolero in case they disapprove my “dress”. Heh. Well. Looking at what Kul and Leesh wore, I guess i lost to them hands down.

My convo is held in the morning session… and the rest of the gang in the afternoon! Sucky sucky. But well it’ll be a good thing for my parents, cuz they can leave straight from KL to JB on the same day. Plus they can escape the heat of the desert!

We queued up in front of Building 21. It was really fun catching up with friends and snapping random photos with everyone, anyone. And I forgot to take bfast! Felt a little giddy but luckily I had some sweets stashed in my handbag. When the choir group sang UTP song.. i felt a little sebak in my chest. At that moment, I felt like all these years I’ve studied (like crazy) and it’s just for today. And never have i felt so proud standing here in UTP.. and small tears flooded my eyes. It’s truly a moment to remember.

I left around 6 plus from the Chancellor’s Complex.. and left straight for Kerteh after that wif Renu. Sigh. i love my convocation.

I love Poppy’s. It is even better after the renovation. I remember celebrating Leesh’s bday there once and it was pack to the max. Urgh, sweat, urgh, smell, urgh, puke. Yea. It was just bodies everywhere and we had to escape to the narrow alley for a breather.

Me, Sanj and Leesh went in around 11plus and were led to a table which is ok-ay la for 5 people. But some old uncle came and suddenly took our table saying (what I think was) “I’m OPENING BOTTLES OKAYY” and so we were led to another smaller table, by the walkway. -_-” But then Sanj had a lovely view of a couple of lenglui, so he didn’t really mind. Me and Leesh came up with this master plan to snatch their table and bottles as Sanj tackle them girls.

Haha. We never did anyways. I had raspberry vodka, which was sooOooOoo light. Leesh’s rum was halfway there.. and we had beer too. Hah. Mistake. Kept us burping all night. I already know what’s going through Sanj’s mind…. “Order bottle!!” Haha.. But we didn’t. Wished we did.

Air Terjun Cemerung

What would you do if you wake up in the morning only knowing that you’re given the day off?

Our answer to it? Go WATERFALL!

Hehe. Well the girls started the day off with a nice cuppa coffee in the most famous chinese kopitiam in Kemaman, Hai Peng. The coffee is so irresistably good. Kesian Helwa cuz she can’t drink it.. (fyi, she’s pregnant). The half boil eggs taste sooooo delicious (yes, i started eating it again ;P ) and their kaya bun is just amazing.

Then we called up the guys to go waterfall in Cemerung.. it’s around 70km from our hse in Kerteh.. Reli reli far, considering we dont’ reli know the way there.. And so we drove. And drove. And drove. Till the guys kinda gave up on us and stopped to ask for directions. Wei, we girls oso nvr stop to ask, u guys pulak stop so many times……

Anywhoos. After 2 hours of driving, we found the place. It is deep in the heart of Terengganu and guess what, there’s zero reception here. Maxis, Digi, Celcom all tak laku here. Luckily we found the place, or not we all mengamuk in the car. Despite the ulu2 place, the place does look pretty clean. And after changing.. off we go to the waterfalls!

Just came bek from mamak with Bismo. He’s supposed to teach me about CE, but that’s like, 20 mins of it and we started chatting. Hmm. Sleeeeeepy~~~

My MP3 player decided to stop working on the day it’s supposed to be useful. How helpful you ungrateful thing are. Is this how u repay your faithful owner ahh? U know I could’ve have changed you ages ago since you’re just a 128MB player!

I haven’t finished packing my stuff for a day trip to KL tomoro. Sanjeev mentioned that I should bring my own pillow.. but I guess I can survive one day without pillow lah. Heheh. I’m more excited to go shopping in Sg Wang than going for the RACKL dinner itself. Hehe.

On hiatus for one day. KL here I come!
