Confession of a Shopaholic!

Dear all,

I have a confession to make. I am a shopaholic but no, I have not exceeded my credit card bills but with my monthly savings dwindling this month (esp, after the Kuching and Penang trip), I think I better start saving up. Or find some lame excuses to go KL for meeting (Option 2 doesn’t seem to work ).

It’s not my fault, really. I HAVE to buy souvenirs for friends back in Kuching don’t I? Plus I was ALREADY in Kuching! What am I supposed to do there, sleep?? Yea, so I went visiting places (means taxi charges), eating (eh, cheap2 food okie) and shopping (em, okay. Local products in kuching was CHEAP! not counting the baju from Giordano (50% discount was saving $$ already!)). Plus me and Renu went for a reflexology… which was actually cheap by KL standards!

And Penang was ……………… shopatastic! Belom go up the plane, already bought a book in KLIA. It was Sammy’s bday month so I get 20% discount ON TOP of the discounted items in Esprit! And I got these reli cute sunglasses and sandals from Vincci and adorable baby clothings for my new baby cousins… and oh dinner in Chilli’s was a MUST! And yea I paid the bill cuz i promised Sammy a treat for her bday. And Parkson did not let me off when they had sales there too.. (Sunway Carnival Mall is a stone throw away from granma’s place!) Lastly when I touch down KLIA, they were having cosmetic sales. How am I supposed to resist?

And I was lured to buy the SunPlay hydrating mask in Watsons, Kemaman just now. Not to mention my finishing mousse need to be topped up and bla bla bla.

Sigh. Wished I wasn’t much a sucker for bargains.

Desperate needs call for desperate measures

Few days ago I attended a final year briefing in UTP. Mr Idzham, the guy in JPSP gave us sample resumes that we “ought” to do to attract our future companies’ attention. OMG. Horror siut. This girl put up photos in every pages, some not even her photo!

One is posing with the Rector with her “dance” attire, another is during the Dean’s List award. Hmmmmmm. I suspect the former photo is not even hers, if you know what I mean.

And Mr Idzham said, “Petronas interview will be conducted for scholars on 27th August. It’s the same day as the convocation day. So, DRESS TO IMPRESS. If you have any really nice clothes, it’s time to bring them all out”. HmmMMmm.

So I went to Ipoh with Kul, Hex, Kenna and Regina in search for a jacket.

The shop that I really wanted to go is G2000. Though pricey, their clothes are REALLY nice. I bought 2 shirts from there before I went for internship, however, due to the flexible working clothes practiced in Intel, NO one ever dresses up nicely to go to work and I had never gotten the chance to wear it too. Anyways. So I tried on 3 jackets and after much consideration I got the third one I tried.

The jacket comes with a free coat hanger too. Cool! And in between of choosing a jacket to buy, I bought another shirt! I looove the material silk and the colours. Hehe. Gosh, both of these purchases made me broke. Really really broke. HUHUHU. But oh well, desperate need calls for desperate measures what. The jacket was not an unwise purchase. As Kul say, it’s an “investment”.

LOLZ.

Hehe. I love splurging once in awhile. Perhaps I should marry some really rich Taiwanese or HK tycoon, seeing that most Msian tycoons are old and … really old.

I met Jackie and Kelly!

When I went to Hong Kong last week, I met two huge local superstars!

I meant, reli reli super duper stars!

Anyone who doesn’t know who’s Jackie Chan and Kelly Chen?

Jackie is forever on his smiling mode but gosh, he refused to shake my hands. Kelly is also smiling prettily but she refused to look in the camera! Oh gosh!

Haha. Kidding lar. You think if I met them real-life, I can take photos with them without the crowd pushing me away? These photos are taken from the famous Madame Tussaud’s in The Peak. I would love to enter but sadly, it’s closed when I arrived at the entrance. Aih. And the entrance fee is not a delightful amount too. HK$115 or 120 per person, which means its around RM60 pp. Wow. Even Sunway Lagoon is not that expensive la.

I would still love to go to a Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum one day though… and I’ll make sure I take photos giler babi banyak since I’ve paid for what it’s worth.

Oh well. That’s when I have the money to go HK again.

This is only two of the “documented” calculations. It’s not inclusive of my shopping spree in Fila the other day that cost me 120 bucks.. dinner in Nandos, Fish n Co., movies on Sat n Sun AND coffee in Starbucks + CoffeeBean.

I know money doesn’t drop from the sky and so hence I’m trying to work overtime to claim it all… but working as an intern doesn’t earn much for OT.. 1 hr is around RM5. 5-frickin-bucks. I claimed for 18 hrs last month… so I’ve got a total of RM 100 extra in my account.. woo hoooo….

On the other hand, I’ve found a squash court finally! It’s located in N-Park. Seriously, if you’re a first timer in looking for courts in N-Park, you won’t find it. I didn’t know it’s right inside the apartment and on the highest floor of a building. Luckily when I was finding for a carpark, I saw Chris. He brought me up… I didn’t know my dept’s ppl are so health conscious.! Most of them are there. It’s good to sweat it out once.. yoga doesn’t make u sweat like how badminton does. That’s the reason I still like playing sports rather than full time switch to practising yoga.

Will go squash with Daarsh on Thursday. It’s quite near our apartment after all.

Argh!

Lately I’ve been really busy… no, not with work. Not exactly with my social life too… I dunno what i’m really busy with, but I just feel very tired at the end of the day..

I’ve taken up yoga/aerobics classes at Fitness Studio… It’s really cool xcept that my whole body aches like HELL after each classes. Walking aches my legs.. Sitting down aches my upper torso and turning my body aches the whole body. Taken some painkillers to cool it down..

Money problems seem to be plaguing me too. With my recent spendings on yoga clothes, classes at Fitness Studio, all for the sake of slimming and keeping fit… Hmm. I hope it’s working though…

Might be going to Ipoh this weekend.. It’ll all depends on Chris and Audrey.. hopefully can make it.. i’m in the mood of travelling in a cheap mode.. hehe..
